PJU leader Udaya Gammanpila states that the PJU has prepared a proposal to manage the current fuel crisis.
The relevant proposal is as follows.
- Suspend the use of cars and jeeps with an engine capacity of more than 2,000 CC.
- Short-distance buses should be introduced.
- The bicycle should be popularized for short distance running.
- Come to the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Conducting three days of schooling for school education and conducting educational activities through ZOOM application for the other two days.
- Transfer of all public servants to offices near their homes.
- All private institutions hold meetings through zoom or other online platforms.
- Introduce flexible working hours similar to other nations to reduce traffic congestion.
- Introduce a program to promote cycling
- Provide opportunities for children who are unable to attend school to attend class through Zoom or online platforms.
