Various information and videos are circulating on social media about a group of prison inmates who were arrested yesterday by the public on suspicion of being involved in yesterday’s incident. As we look into this, the Colombo Times has provided a full account.
Accordingly, 181 prison inmates have been deployed in several workplaces in Colombo yesterday.

Of these, 151 prisoners are still missing. 30 persons were found at the Nugegoda Gam Sabha junction. They were reportedly wearing blue bottom pants and a white T-shirt and did not have any other documents to prove their identities.
However, there is no legal provision for the transfer of prison inmates to private workplaces. But after giving some money to the government, there is a possibility of getting them like that. But the allegation here is that it was given to the Avangard commander. Another allegation is that they were used in yesterday’s attack. It should be noted, however, that no one can legally abuse prisoners.
