Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Finance has recently announced the Budget for the year 2022 in Parliament.
According to it, the total expenditure of the government for the year 2022 is Rs. 5128.47 billion out of which Rs. 3470.829 billion has been allocated for family politicians including cabinets and non-cabinet Mahinda Rajapaksa, said Jathika Jana Balawega MP Anura Dissanayake.
He has revealed this in the Parliament today (20).
Instead of trying to develop the country through a collective effort, he has questioned whether it is possible to allocate the bulk of the budget, ie 3470 billion, to his family and develop the country.
Anura Dissanayake also explained the allocation of funds to the Ministries. President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa received Rs. 430.91 billion, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa received Rs. 47.51 billion, Mr. Basil Rajapaksa Rs. 2884.12 billion and Mr. Chamal Rajapaksa Rs. 54.88 billion. 7.44 billion and Shashindra Rajapaksa Rs. 45.08 billion.
