An early flood warning has been issued by the Irrigation Department.
According to the announcement issued by the Department of Meteorology and other information, it has been mentioned in the announcement that there is a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of the island in the next 24 hours from tonight (05).
The announcement further stated that since Attanagalu, Kalu, Kelani, Ging and Nilwala basins are full of water, there is a risk of flooding in some areas of those basins if heavy rainfall occurs in one or more of those basins.
