A message to farmers from the Irrigation Department

The Irrigation Department has advised the farmers to use rainwater to prepare the ground for paddy cultivation in the coming season.
The Director of the Water Management Unit of the Irrigation Department, Engineer D. Abeysiriwardena has stated that the decision was taken to protect the current water capacity of the reservoirs.
