The Attorney General has requested the Supreme Court to consider the fundamental rights petitions filed in connection with the Yugadanavi power plant agreement before a full bench of judges.
The petition was taken up before a panel of judges comprising Buwaneka Aluvihare, AHMD Nawas and Mahinda Samayawardena today (12).
Accordingly, Additional Solicitor General Farzana Jameel, appearing for the Attorney General, made the request, stating that this was a case of national importance.
