The State Ministry of Drug Manufacturing, Supply and Regulation has announced that it has made several revisions to the maximum retail prices of some essential drugs.
Accordingly, the maximum retail price has been set for 131 doses of 60 essential drugs and it is illegal to sell above the maximum retail price imposed on those drugs.
The Secretary to the Ministry Dr. RMSK Rathnayake states that if drugs are being sold in violation of the maximum retail price in any place, they should be informed by emailing complaints@nmra.gov.lk.
Below is a list of drugs whose maximum retail prices were set after the price increase.
