A special operation has been launched in the Western Province from yesterday (30) to check the beggars who do not follow the health instructions near the city streets and light signs and give them corona vaccines.
The operation started at 09.00 am and continued till 04.00 pm and examined 541 beggars.
Of these, 77 did not receive a single dose. 22 of them were vaccinated yesterday and the remaining 55 will be vaccinated in the future.
This program has been implemented on the instructions of the Senior DIG, Western Province.
