A TOUGH DECISION FROM THE CARDINAL

Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has decided not to attend the state Independence Day celebrations tomorrow, reports say.
It is to protest against the continued detention of innocent people in connection with the Borella church grenade incident.
He was speaking at a media briefing convened by Fr. Cyril Gamini in Colombo this morning (03).
