ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE

An announcement has been issued by the Prime Minister’s Office this morning (03).
The statement said that there was no truth in the rumors circulating on the mainstream media and social media for several days and today that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa was stepping down.
The Prime Minister’s Media Secretary, Rohan Weliwita, has further stated in the statement that he strongly rejects such false propaganda which is misleading to the people of the country.
