The Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage states that Satama will ensure that there will be no food shortage in the country by 2022.
Some say that 90% – 95% of the paddy lands in each district have been cultivated and the claims that there will be a food shortage in the country are unacceptable.
The Minister has pointed out that such a deficit is not likely to occur at all.
