The booster dosage program for persons over 60 years of age will commence from today (17).
Accordingly, the Ministry of Health stated that a dose of Faizer vaccine will be given as a booster dose.
Minister of State Channa Jayasumana stated that the booster vaccine will be given today to persons over 60 years of age in the Western and Southern Provinces as well as in the Anuradhapura and Ampara Districts.
It is also mandatory for these individuals to have received the second dose of the booster three months after receiving the booster dose.
