A car has overturned into the Mahaweli River in the Ilukmodara area on the Kandy-Gurudeniya road.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that two persons have been rescued from the accident.
However, the car involved in the accident and one person are still missing, the police spokesman said.
