Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera said that it is expected to increase the fuel quota for the identified essential service areas.
In the progress review meeting held today (23) on the QR system, attention was paid to this and the fuel quota is to be increased for essential services.
Another point that has been observed here is that comparing the data of the last 03 weeks, the number of traffic registrations and the number of fuel taken has increased, but there is some decrease in the use of fuel.
Also, the minister further pointed out that non-traffic fuel requirements and travel fuel permits are also scheduled to be introduced in the first week of September.
In the meantime, attention has also been paid here to make the improvements that are expected to be provided through the QR system.
