The circular has been issued to reduce the compulsory retirement age of government officials to 60 years.
The relevant circular has been issued with the signature of Mr. MMPKK Mayadunne, Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government.
It had been decided under the interim budget resolution to lower the retirement age of government officials to 60 years.
