The Public Health Inspectors Association stated that the Minister in charge of the subject is responsible if the public is inconvenienced due to the trade union action initiated by the Health Trade Unions.
The President of the Association Upul Rohana stated that the trade union action that has been initiated will be intensified until their problems are resolved.
He has requested the Minister of Health to take necessary action to provide the necessary solutions to the problems of the health trade unions which have already been started and if such solutions are not forthcoming, strikes could be resorted to, he added.
