Daily fuel demand increases

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says that the daily fuel demand has increased unexpectedly.
The demand for diesel which was 5,500 metric tons per week has now increased to 8,000 metric tons, said the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Sumith Wijesinghe.
He also pointed out that the demand for petrol has increased from 3,000 metric tons to 4,500 metric tons.
Its chairman Sumith Wijesinghe pointed out that this situation is very serious and added that immediate action should be taken to take the necessary action.
