It is reported that 20 school students and parents of Kuliapitiya Inguruwatta College have been hospitalized due to a wasp attack.
According to reports, the wasp attack happened due to stirring a wasp nest in a tamarind tree in a house adjacent to the school.
When a hawk hit the wasp nest, the wasps were stirred up.
Several vehicles of the Kuliapitiya local council and 1990 ambulances arrived and took the attacked people to hospital and it is said that the employees of the Kuliapitiya Medical Officer of Health office have arrived and are currently fumigating the place.
