It is reported that a person who came to visit an inmate of the Kalutara prison by hiding 29 packets of heroin in a gel packet of a milk rice parcel has been arrested.
A 23-year-old resident of Panadura, Vekada area has been arrested.
A prison officer who was inspecting the visitors found 29 packets of heroin weighing 138 mg in a gel packet while carefully packed.
It is reported that the suspect is scheduled to be presented before the Kalutara Magistrate.
