5 TRAINING AIRCRAFT ON BOARD.

The National Audit Office issued that five out of six primary training aircraft purchased for the Air Force at a cost of nearly 95 crore rupees have not been used for training activities for more than two years due to engine repairs, and the expenditure incurred for those aircraft has not been effective.  It has been mentioned in a report.

According to reports, one of these six training planes was destroyed in an accident on December 15, 2020, and these six planes were purchased on October 17, 2018.

In this regard, Air Force media spokesman Captain, Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe has stated that some of the engines of these planes have been sent to China for repair and they can be used after repair.
