It is reported that a female student studying in a public school in Colombo, who is going to face the scholarship examination this year, has been seriously raped by a group of lechers.
It is said that some parts of the girl’s body were burnt with cigarettes.
Seeing a change in the girl who had been raped, the class teacher took the girl to the Wellampitiya police. After the accident, the girl was brought before the forensic officer. It was revealed that the girl had been raped on eight occasions.
It is reported that the girl mentioned the name of a student of a school located in Colombo and all the students of that school with the relevant name were called to the police and shown to the girl, but the girl did not recognize who the school student was.
The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court ordered yesterday (22) to start investigations to find the suspects involved in the incident and to admit the girl to Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital for treatment.
The Wellampitiya police have presented the girl’s medical reports before the court and it is reported that the court has ordered the girl to be taken to the hospital along with her mother after considering the medical reports.
Also, the court has ordered the police to find out who are the suspects involved in the incident and arrest them immediately.
