It is reported that the Pudaluoya Police has arrested a father who tried to kill his two children by giving them poisoned food.
A resident of Pudaluoya, Harowatta, Udakola area has been arrested.
The police say that the two children, eleven years old and eight years old, mixed poison in their food and he also tried to commit suicide by drinking the poison.
Also, the investigations carried out regarding the incident have revealed that his wife left the house due to a dispute and left for the Colombo area, which led to this crime.
Earlier also due to his drunkenness, his wife had left the house and the two children and the father have now been admitted to the Gampola Hospital for treatment.
