It is reported that the body of a fisherman who had gone to the water for fishing was found in Nikaveratiya, Hulugalle, while the boat was floating in the water.
The deceased is a 50-year-old father of two named W.M. Karunaratne, a resident of Hulugalle, Nikaveratiya area.
It is said that he had boarded a boat alone in the reservoir for fishing the night before, and in the morning, a group of other fishermen who had boarded a boat for fishing had seen this fisherman dead.
