It is reported that a body of a person was found yesterday (18) in the lagoon area behind Kirimatiya Crematorium, Rathgama.
According to the information received by the Rathgama police, the dead body has been found and it is said that a 27-year-old resident of the same area has died.
The police mention that the hands and feet of the deceased were tied and injuries were seen in several places on the body.
On the evening of the 17th, the person in question had been drinking alcohol with a group of friends at a restaurant located in Katudampe area, and during the party, he had left the place during the investigation.
Rathgama Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
