It is reported that a former member of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s local council and a security officer of Tangalle Fishery Port were arrested in a raid carried out this evening (05) by a team of officers of Matara Division’s Criminal Investigation Division at Oknadaya in Middeniya Police Domain who were in possession of 08 kg of Kerala Ganja. .
A 42-year-old former member of the Weerakatiya local council residing in Okandaya and a 29-year-old resident of Middeniya Julampitiya have been arrested by the police.
