It is reported that an 85-year-old Meheninu passed away yesterday (23) after falling into a pit cut in a coconut grove in Madurankuliya area of Puttalam.
It is reported that this man is elderly and was invited to her house by his daughter and stayed at his daughter’s house for about two years.
Meheninu fell into a hole cut to water the coconut plants in the coconut grove where the house was located and it is said that Meheninu’s daughter and her husband were not at home at that time.
It is reported that the Madurankuliya Police are conducting further investigations regarding this incident.
