It is reported that the Deputy Chief Justice Sanghanayake of Thunpane Province, the Viharadhipati Thera of Tampita Temple was found dead on the way to the temple without a robe and wearing a lay dress.
It is said that there was a bag of vegetables near the body of the departed monk and a mobile phone in the Lord’s hand.
But the police have stated that some suspicion has been raised regarding this death.
