It is reported that the Sri Lankan ambassador, who was on a visit to the West Gaza area to inquire about Sri Lankans who are said to have disappeared in the middle of the Israeli-Palestinian conflicts, has to stop the visit due to the prevailing situation.
Accordingly, Mr. Nimal Bandara, the Ambassador of Israel to Sri Lanka, states that he had to stop his visit and come back according to a notification made by the Israeli security forces.
It was reported that two Sri Lankans who were involved in the conflict are currently missing and yesterday (11) representatives including the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel Mr. Nimal Bandara visited the West Gaza area to find out about them.
But due to repeated attacks on that area, the security forces of the country have informed the ambassador to leave.
Accordingly, Mr. Nimal Bandara has further mentioned that no specific information can be given so far regarding the Sri Lankans who are said to have disappeared.
