It is reported that in a special joint search operation carried out yesterday (27) by Sri Lanka Navy and Mannar Police in Silawathura area, a suspect was arrested with about 893 grams of hashish drug.
The arrested suspect is a 24-year-old resident of Silawathura area and it is said that the amount of drugs with him is worth more than 8 lakh rupees.
He has been handed over to the Mannar Police for further legal proceedings.
