It is reported that a person who was admitted to Ambalanthota Hospital with injuries due to an attack with a hoe, iron rod and a shovel yesterday (17) in Mamadala area of Ambalanthota died while being admitted to Hambantota Hospital for further treatment.
The deceased is a 60-year-old resident of Ambalantota, Mamadala area.
It is said that this assault was carried out due to a dispute with the deceased’s sister’s children regarding a fence on the land.
The suspects related to the incident have been identified and the Ambalantota Police is conducting further investigations to arrest them.
