A PETITION TO THE COURT OF APPEAL FROM DESHBANDU.

The Attorney General to nominate Mr. Senior DIG Deshbandu Tennakone as a suspect in an incident of assault on the protesters by the Appellate Court Bench consisting of the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Nishanka Bandula Karunaratne and A. Marikkar, giving permission to hear a petition submitted by the Senior DIG Deshbandu Tennakone. It is reported that the Court of Appeal issued an interim order preventing the letter submitted to the Criminal Investigation Department from being implemented.
