It is reported that a group of people attacked a police sergeant who went to a house in Mapanawattura area of Kandy to inform him to appear before the court.
It is said that the suspects who attacked the sergeant by obstructing the police duty have fled from the area and the Kandy police have started investigations to arrest them.
