A promotion for the police sergeant who died in the Kabithigolle incident

Recently, a police officer who went to control a protest against a woman killed by an elephant in Kabithigollewa area was attacked by the protestors and was hospitalized where he died.
The Police Media Spokesman’s Office has stated that police sergeant A.P. Sunil, who lost his life, has been promoted to the post of sub-inspector with effect from the 31st of last month.
This promotion has been given by the Inspector General of Police under post promotion basis.
