It is reported that a registered criminal of the island has been arrested in the Ulagama area of Gampaha while he was escaping from the Kundasala open-air prison camp in Pallakele.
After observing the behavior of the concerned suspect, the officers of the Gampaha Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau arrested him and after questioning him, he stated that he had escaped from custody.
It was later revealed that he had robbed a house in the Gampaha area and it is reported that the suspect is going to be produced before the Gampaha Magistrate’s Court.
