It is reported that a person has been shot dead in Ampara, Bandaraduwa, Mayadunna area.
A 42-year-old resident of Verankatagada, Mayadunna area was killed last night (06).
While the deceased was taking a bath behind the house, some person came and fired this shot and ran away.
It has been revealed that the killing occurred due to a dispute over a paddy land.
The person who committed the murder has been identified and investigations are underway to arrest him.
