It is reported that the Association of Family Health Service Officers has emphasized that there has been a shortage of family health service officers in the island and due to this the maternal and child health service is at risk.
Its president Mrs. Devika Kodithuvakku says that there is currently a shortage of 3,800 family health service officers.
