It is reported that a sudden fire broke out in the mushroom forest reserve of Peradeniya police domain yesterday (30th) afternoon.
The police, wildlife officers, disaster management officers, forest conservation officers, disaster management officers, forest conservation officers and local residents have put the fire under control.
About 35 acres of land in the forest reserve has been destroyed due to the fire and there is no loss of life or property.
Peradeniya Police is conducting further investigations on this matter.
