A woman has lost her life due to an assault in Ayagama, Innakanda area last night (29).
According to the information received from the Ayagama police station that a woman had fallen on the ground due to an assault, the police officers admitted the injured woman to the Ayagama hospital and she died.
45-year-old Inakanda, a resident of Ayagama area, has lost her life.
It has been revealed in the police investigation that the murder was committed by the illegitimate husband due to a family dispute.
The suspect involved in the incident has fled the area and the Ayagama Police is conducting further investigations to arrest him.
