It is reported that a group of thugs entered a house in Urubokka, Bengamuwa Puhulhena area and attacked the mother, father and two children with a sharp weapon and fled.
The attack took place last night (26th) and they were admitted to Urubokka, Heegoda Regional Hospital for treatment, where the 51-year-old mother and 13-year-old son were transferred to Embilipitiya General Hospital for further treatment.
The people who came to attack have come with their faces covered and the police have started investigations to identify them.
