It is reported that the assistant field officer of Hatton Fordyce Estate who was assaulted by a police sergeant has been admitted to Dik Oya Base Hospital for treatment.
A police sergeant attached to the Diagama police station was attacked over a dispute.
It is said that the sergeant hit the officer on the head with a stick.
Hatton police are conducting further investigations in this regard.
