It is reported that King Somavati Chaitanya was attacked by an elephant and passed away while he was returning from offering prayers.
It is said that this Lord was attacked by wild elephants near the Sungavila Wildlife Office on the Somavathiya, Sungavila road at around 4.45 am today (05).
A 40-year-old man named Sri Maithri of Vanavasi Valley has died in this elephant attack.
It is reported that the attack was carried out by a wild elephant in the Somavathiya National Park and the Pulastipura police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
