It is reported that 729 suspects have been arrested in operations carried out across the island in the 24 hours that ended at 12.30 am today (31) under Operation Justice.
The Ministry of Public Security has said that 499 suspects have been arrested for drug offenses and 230 suspects who were on the list referred to criminal divisions.
During the operations, 146 grams of heroin, 119 grams of ice and other drugs were taken into custody by the security forces.
The Ministry of Public Security has said that further investigations are being conducted on the detention orders regarding three suspects and 04 people addicted to drugs have been referred for rehabilitation.
Among the 230 suspects who were on the list referred to the criminal division, 19 suspects who had open warrants related to drug offenses and 204 who had open warrants related to non-drug offenses were arrested.
