It is reported that a number of officers of the Sri Lankan Army and Navy were given promotions in conjunction with the National War Heroes celebration as per the instructions of the President.
Accordingly, 402 officers of the Sri Lanka Army and 3348 other ranks and 1731 officers of the Sri Lanka Navy have been promoted.
