It is reported that the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Bill has been approved by the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Food Safety and Agriculture.
This bill has been submitted to amend the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Act No. 2 of 1996 and it is said that the committee recommended to the officers to take steps to introduce an emergency call service in case of accidents to fishermen.
