BROTHER HIT COUSIN FOR SQUEEZING SISTER’S HAND.


It is reported that a former army rugby player attacked his cousin with a knife and seriously injured him due to squeezing his grandmother’s hand while serving a plate of rice.

It is said that the suspect has stabbed the cousin’s hands about twenty times.

But the person who was seriously injured in the related incident was admitted to the Panadura Base Hospital where he was transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.  A hospital spokesman has mentioned that nearly fifty stitches were used in his wounds.

A 24-year-old former army rugby player residing in Panadura Walana area has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Also, a 12 cm long sharp double-edged dagger that was used to attack has also been taken into custody by the police.
