It is reported that the Cabinet has approved the amendment of the Medical Ordinance Act.
In order to amend the provisions related to the registration of specialist doctors, the proposal presented by the then Minister of Health to amend the Medical Ordinance No. 26 of 1927 was discussed in the Cabinet meeting held on 8-7-2023 and a committee was appointed to make recommendations. Based on the recommendations mentioned in the report, the Council of Ministers has decided to advise a draftsman to prepare a bill to amend the Medical Ordinance Act.
