It is reported that Mr. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Ports and Naval Aviation, has said that tenders will be called for the sale of shares of Sri Lankan Airlines today (31).
Accordingly, a period of forty-five days from today (31) has been set aside for awarding these tenders.
It is said that international as well as local companies have the ability to submit tenders for the purchase of shares of Sri Lankan Airlines.
The minister added that after the tender submission process is over, they will select suitable companies for this purpose.
