It is reported that Narahenpita police has arrested a police sergeant who pretended to be a sub-inspector and cheated money by saying that he would give eggs at a low price.
He said that he has 10 boxes of eggs and was told to bring 5000 rupees to the police garage to get them. After saying this, the sergeant ran away on one occasion and the concerned businessmen paid attention to the person posing as a sub-inspector and caught the suspect yesterday (02).
It is reported that a police sergeant attached to the Public Order Management Division has been arrested.
