It is reported that the farmers of Embilipitiya are preparing for a demonstration near Samanala Lake.
The farmers of Embilipitiya are in great difficulty because of the lack of water, they are unable to manage their rice farming. Since the Udawalawa Reservoir has also been drained, they have been protesting for many days demanding that they be given the required amount of water from the Samanala Lake Reservoir.
It is said that due to the fact that they have not found any solution to their water problem so far, they are now preparing to come near the Samanala Lake reservoir and engage in a protest.
