It is reported that a father and son couple attacked a police sergeant who was on his way home from duty and the injured sergeant was taken to the hospital.
A sergeant residing in the Kalutara Remunagoda area who is attached to the Assistant Superintendent of Police Office 3 of the Colombo DIG Office has been taken to the hospital.
According to reports, the attack was carried out by a son-son duo residing in Kalutara Remunagoda area near Galpotta Junction in Kalutara and the police have stated that they are working to arrest the suspects.
It is also reported that the sergeant who was hit is undergoing treatment at the Kalutara Teaching Hospital.
